Legendary actor Tommy Lee Jones is famous for playing hard men, with intense acting and gripping physicality. But away from the screen, he has a reputation for being equally tough. Journalists often label the Oscar-winning star as a taciturn, difficult character, some even going as far as describing him as “ornery.”
Jones is a native Texan, but his schooling took him to the east coast, where he attended Harvard, starring in the varsity football team. His acting career began with small parts on Broadway before he made his film debut in Love Story. After a stint on TV that saw him star in soap One Life to Live, he went on to play a vast range of roles in movies that have seen him nominated four times for Oscars, winning one for his supporting role in The Fugitive.
